Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Metal Urbain

France. 1977

A punk french hymn from the short-lived Metal Urbain. They are claimed to be one of the first bands that used drum machine with synths and electric guitars. Also first French band to ever release a single on Rough Trade. Respect.

Man Made Hill

Man Made Hill’s freak synth pop hybrid entranced my ears and took over all morning.  These layered warped and twisted sounds by Randy Gagne, the man behind MMH, is of the “Intercourses” album appropriately released on cassette via the great Orange Milk.
